Mums’ Cottage is for families of every kind.
Mums’ Cottage is a non-profit organisation based in Holmesville, in the Lake Macquarie region of New South Wales, Australia.
We welcome, respect and affirm each person who enters our door. Our aim is to enrich the lives of the future generation while supporting the present generation through times of difficulty and despair. We take a holistic approach in providing benevolent relief to individuals and their family, within a nurturing and encouraging environment.
Counselling Services
We offer free of charge counselling with trained professionals who donate their time. These appointments are arranged by visiting or calling the Cottage and chatting with our pastoral carer.
Social Connection Groups
Many people in the community struggle with a lack of social connection and companionship. We offer a number of weekly and fortnightly games, creative and social groups open to the community.
Co-op Clothing & Goods
We have a co-op clothing and goods shed on site at the Cottage. Guests are able to shop through our donated goods and take whatever benefits them for a gold coin donation.
Family Courses & Classes
We offer different pregnancy, parenting, family and self development courses throughout the year. All of these are free of charge and you can find out more by chatting with us.
Reading Resources
Mums’ Cottage has a library of resources available, free to anyone who needs them. Books are frequently updated and our volunteer librarian is happy to make suggestions.
Toddler Reading & Play group
Bring the little ones along to our toddler reading and playgroup to find some new friends and take a little break from the every day. Check out our calendar for info.
